ABOUT
I’m Priyadharsini, the founder and lead designer of Indigo and Oak Design. With a background in architecture and a deep-rooted passion for interiors, I bring over a decade of experience in creating thoughtful, functional, and inspiring spaces.
My design philosophy is grounded in the belief that homes should reflect who you are—your values, your story, and your lifestyle. I approach every project with equal parts creativity and practicality, blending cultural richness, timeless design, and meaningful details that turn a house into a home.
Currently based in Alpharetta, Georgia, I live with my husband and toddler, and find balance through painting, cooking, cycling, and exploring nature. These everyday moments often spark ideas and keep my creativity flowing.
MY STORY
My journey began in India, where I earned my degree in Architecture and spent over 10 years working across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. That experience taught me to pay close attention to materiality, proportion, and the craftsmanship that transforms good design into great design.
Over time, I found myself drawn more deeply to the interiors—the emotion of a space, how people feel in it, and how everyday living could be made more beautiful and functional. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s in Interior Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta.
Moving to the U.S. and transitioning from architecture to interior design gave me a fresh perspective and renewed purpose. My multicultural background plays a big role in how I see the world—and how I design. I’m inspired by the simplicity and warmth of South Indian living, but I also love merging that with modern sensibilities, layered textures, and a thoughtful use of space.
Each project I take on is a collaboration rooted in empathy, curiosity, and respect for individuality. My goal is to create spaces that feel good to live in—spaces that are not just designed, but felt.
