My Personal Journey- Atlanta

Updated: Jun 12, 2024

Moving to Atlanta in 2018 was a decision that was somewhat beyond my control. It took me a considerable amount of time to chart out my career path and establish myself in the USA. During this transitional period, I continued to freelance for friends, family, and former firms as a consultant after receiving my work permit.

However, my passion for interior design continued to resonate within me, urging me to take proactive steps toward furthering my education. This led me to pursue a Master's in Interior Design at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). The 1.5 years I spent there were truly enlightening, as I had the opportunity to learn from esteemed professors and collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

During my time at SCAD, I gained a profound understanding of how the USA embraces and celebrates cultural diversity. This realization fueled my desire to design spaces that are inclusive and inviting for people from all walks of life. It was a transformative experience that not only enhanced my skills as a designer but also deepened my appreciation for the power of design to positively impact society.
